At North West osteopathy our aim is to uncover what is preventing you from being pain-free. This process takes a holistic approach, broadly observing and understanding you as one unit. Observing both the structural and non-structural components of your life such as occupation, previous traumas, adopted habits, stress and diet which can interplay.
Getting to know you and what you do on a daily basis helps us get to the bottom of your presentation. It's our job to discover what these factors are and help facilitate you on the road to recovery, the services to prevent recurrence, then allowing the body to do the rest.
You can expect your osteopath to treat your symptoms with manual therapy techniques while your body adapts and repairs. Osteopaths use a variety of hands-on techniques, such as soft-tissue massage, joint mobilization, stretching, joint manipulation and indirect-osteopathic techniques. Your osteopath will provide you with activity modification tips, and when needed you may be equipped with take-home exercises to aid your recovery and prevent reoccurrence.
